Partner + Designer
With more than seven years experience between both residential and hospitality interior design; Mark brings a forward-thinking attitude and limitless creative sense to PH+ID. Before co-founding PH+ID, Mark received a Bachelors of Art from Columbia College Chicago in Digital Marketing and most recently graduated from Harrington College of Design with a Masters of Fine Art in Interior Design.
Previously, Mark has worked on numerous hospitality project across the country that are comprised of various large full-service hotels that include both Hilton and Marriott branded properties, as well as a diverse assortment of restaurants and bars within the city of Chicago and it's surrounding neighborhoods.
Growing up just outside of Chicago, Mark has always been drawn to the urban environment, from architecture to art, concerts and food. During the last 12 years of living in the city Mark has enjoyed living in 6 different neighborhoods, each helping inspire Mark's diverse design style and love for Chicago.
A few of Mark's favorite things are; hosting dinner parties with his partner for their friends and family, exploring different Chicago neighborhoods and communities, playing with his dog Leo, and enjoying a cold beverage on an outdoor patio during the summer.

Michael brings to PH+ID over 12 years of visual merchandising, design and marketing experience. Refining his career while working for several high end furniture, lighting and home decor brands. Michael has utilized his corporate industry experience to drive PH+ID to the next level.
Hailing from the Philadelphia area, a true east coaster that always longs for a day at the beach. After college and living in Baltimore for 10 years Michael was looking for something new. While visiting friends in Chicago , Michael was inspired by the city and all it has to offer, inspired so much that he found himself living in Chicago two months later. Michael has fallen in love with how Chicago embodies east coast urban living, with mid west charm. Not to mention the amazing architecture, and great summers spent running along Lake Michigan.
In Michael's spare time away from PH+ID he enjoys spending it with his partner and friends exploring all their favorite local Chicago restaurants and venues. Michael is also passionate about running marathons, traveling, and spending time outside in the sun.
Step 1: Client Consultation & Concept
Our process at PH+ID begins with getting to know you. Allowing us to know you our client is the most important part of our process. We want to take the time to learn how you and your family live in your home. Taking our time to listen, see your vision, gathering inspiration, and ensuring we create a space that is truly yours. We have the resources to personalize the design process for each client, taking this first step will ensure we establish a timeline and budget for the entire project. Giving us what we need to start executing your vision, is our main goal during a consultation.
Step 2: Design Development
PH+ID utilizes what we have learned from the initial consultation to translate your vision into a fully developed design plan. Like all great works of art, this process can last several weeks to develop. Once the PH+ID team has put together your personalized design package we will present to you a digital presentation, including finish samples, construction documents, furniture selections, and decor options.
Step 3: Execution
Once the design package is approved, PH+ID works in conjunction with the trades and established budget to turn your vision into reality. Our client's unique design begins to be executed over the established timeline, construction commences, product is ordered, and production of customized items begins. Based on level of service all products can be warehoused by PH+ID until pre-approved installation date, creating a seamless personalized installation that ensures no detail of the client’s final vision is overlooked.
